Itinerary:
DAY 1 HANOI - ARRIVAL (-/-/-)
Meet on arrival at Hanoi / Noi Bai International Airport and transfer to hotel for check in. Overnight in Hanoi.
DAY 2 HANOI - CITY TOUR (B/L/-)
Full day city tour: Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum (closed on Monday and Friday and the whole months of October-November), Ho Chi Minh’s former residence, One-Pillar Pagoda, Temple of Literature, built in the 11th century as Vietnam’s first university. Lunch at local restaurant. Afternoon visit the Museum of Ethnology (closed on Mondays), Hoan Kiem Lake with Ngoc Son Temple and Old Quarters. Attend a performance of the famous Vietnamese traditional art of water puppetry at Thang Long Theatre. Overnight in Hanoi.
DAY 3 HANOI - TAM COC - HALONG BAY (B/L/-)
Drive to Tam Coc to visit “Halong Bay on land” - the limestone carsts seeming to grow from the rice paddy fields. Enjoy a boat ride through the winding stream and the view of rice fields and the spectacular scenery around Tam Coc Caves. Lunch at local restaurant. Continue to Halong Bay. Dinner at local restaurant and overnight in Halong Bay.
DAY 4 HALONG BAY - HANOI (B/L/-)
Discover Halong Bay, listed as a World Heritage Site of outstanding natural beauty. “Dragon descending to the sea“ as it is known in Vietnamese, picturesque Halong Bay has more than 1000 limestone islets rising from the sea, many of them containing beautiful grottoes. Enjoy a relaxing 5-hour boat trip through Halong Bay, fresh seafood lunch is prepared and served on board. Afternoon drive back to Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoi.
DAY 5 HANOI - HO CHI MINH CITY (B/L/-)
Transfer to Hanoi / Noi Bai airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival transfer to your hotel. Lunch at local restaurant. Afternoon city tour: former Presidential Palace, War Museum, Thien Hau Pagoda and local market. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
DAY 6 HO CHI MINH CITY - TAY NINH/CU CHI - HO CHI MINH CITY (B/L/-)
Drive to Cu Chi and visit the amazing complex of underground tunnels. There are more than 200 km of underground tunnels with many branches connecting to underground hideouts and shelters. Proceed to Tay Ninh, center of the Cao Dai religion founded in 1926 and a combination of Buddhism, Christianity, Taoism and Confucianism. You will have the opportunity to watch the worshippers in their white long tunics during noon mass. Lunch at local restaurant. Drive back Ho Chi Minh City. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Alternative program: Coach trip to My Tho and visit Vinh Trang Pagoda. My Tho is a prosperous town of 170,000 inhabitants in the Mekong Delta. It is famous for its extensive orchards and immense rice fields. Enjoy a boat ride on the Mekong River and visit an orchard on an island. Lunch at local restaurant. Drive back to Ho Chi Minh City. Dinner and overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
DAY 7 HO CHI MINH CITY - DEPARTURE (B/-/-)
Leisure time until transfer to Ho Chi Minh City / Tan Son Nhat International Airport for departure.

§ For group bookings of minimum 15 full-paying persons, the 16th person is free of charge in half-twin.
